Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One child was strapped onto my back as one crawled inside the playpen. I spent 12 hours days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, while carrying one kid. Ha! The house was starting to appear nice, however there were still many things that needed to be left. It would take the time, energy, and my favorite shopping for furniture to decorate this home. In order to stay the cost within my means I took my sons with me to look for treasures in estate sales. Our routine was to visit auctions and garage sales on the weekend as well as purchase various of old pieces and new constructed. It was my job to spend the day at the end of the driveway, either painting or sanding. Furniture looked this way... which is where I got my passion for restoration. No matter what, our house had already been decorated. There was a place in the market where I would sell my items. There were so many pieces I didn't have a clue what to do with them and I outgrew my space. At home, I would host open houses, where over 1000 guests could visit and purchase any product they liked on the 1st floor over the course of a weekend. My business Growing Days began here. Not only was my business expanding, but so was our sweet family as well. I was finding that balance of having to start a new business as well as a mother too. Growing Days just seemed to work. It was in 2013 when my beautiful daughter Nora came along our 4th baby. While I was pleased about the direction my company took, I felt like I had to take an occasional break. I decided to quit working on my antique furniture and spend time with my kids. The time was right. But after a short time, my phone began ringing. There were calls from people asking me for help with interior decor and home renovations. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses that were held for furniture. Once I had a few months I started taking on clients at my pace. Soon I had several accounts and a home renovations company. It would have probably made me laugh if you told me this was going to be the subject of the DIY Network tv series. In fact, I do laugh when I think about the idea.
